Door Supervisors Courses

As of the 1st January 2015 the regulations for the Door Supervisors course has changed. There has been an additional day added to this course taking it from 4 days to 5 days.

SIA Door Supervisors Course (5 Days)
The Door supervisor license is the most beneficial SIA license available this is because, as well as being able to work in pubs and clubs, you will be able to seek further employment in industrial, retail and corporate security.
Additionally the Door Supervisor Course covers working in Event Security (e.g. at the large music festivals, sporting events, annual and festive events). This means that one SIA license enables you to work in three sectors of the security industry, enhancing your job opportunities.
The course consists of 4 units:
- Unit 1 – Working In The Private Security Industry
- Unit 2 – Working As a Door Supervisor
- Unit 3 – Conflict Management
- Unit 4 – Physical Intervention Skills (practical demonstration and assessment)
SIA Door Supervisors Up Skilling Course (5 Days)
The SIA recently changed the training regulation for Door Supervisors and included a module in Physical Intervention Skills.
This is now a mandatory requirement. All SIA door supervisors will be required to attend this 1 day update training.
Involving skills to help the operative to defend themselves and asses situations in order to find a resolution. This one day Level 2 course compromises of 2 units:
- Unit 1 – Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors
- Unit 2 – Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Operative
